The county collector runs the annual delinquent tax sale for properties with two or more years of unpaid taxes under Chapter 140 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. Contact the collector's office at 1 Front Street in Troy for details on tax sale dates and procedures. Real estate is reassessed every two years in odd-numbered years, and new construction is added annually. New residents should contact the assessor to set up an account for the next tax year. You will not be assessed until the following January 1, but getting started early helps avoid delays.
